The latest rumor posted on Weibo by Digital Chat Station is about the upcoming OnePlus 13. Specifically, DCS claims that the phone will get IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water resistance, and that would be quite the improvement compared to the OnePlus 12 which is just IP65 rated.

Here’s what the IP code says about that second digit (which relates to water ingress). If it’s a 5, like in the OnePlus 12, then the device is protected against water jets. If it’s an 8, then the phone can be immersed in 1 to 3m of water for a duration that is generally expected to be more than 30 minutes (this part of the standard is pretty flexible, so we won’t know exact details before the handset’s launch).

The 9 rating adds protection from powerful high-temperature water jets, so the OnePlus 13 will be very water resistant indeed.

Regarding dust (the first digit), there’s nowhere to go above 6, the OnePlus 13, like the OnePlus 12, will be classified as “dust-tight”, not allowing any ingress of dust whatsoever.

Moving on, the device should sport a micro-curved screen, a battery about 6,000 mAh in capacity, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
