Why I love Caraway cookware and bakeware.

We are in the middle of a kitchen refresh behind the scenes, so I have pots and pans on my mind. And I wanted to share my favorite cookware (and bakeware) with you because when I was searching for non-toxic pots and pans, I wasn’t sure which ones to choose. They’re an investment and buying online for something like this can feel intimidating.

BUT that’s exactly why I wrote this post. I put together a full review of the pots and pans that we have been using for over two years now. They’re from Caraway. And because I’ve used them MANY times now, I can give you the full (and honest) scoop on whether they’re worth it or not. Hint: They are!

Caraway Pots and Pans

I have had Caraway cookware set for about two years now. They’re the only pots and pans that I cook with, at this point. So I obviously love them! But so do a lot of other people. They have over 36,000 and a 4.8/5.0 star rating. That’s really high!

Aside from being cute to look at and coming in a variety of colors, which makes me very happy, they’re non-toxic which means no harmful chemicals getting into your foods. They’re also non-stick which makes cooking (and cleaning) easy. I’m all for the easy cleaning!

I have a set of Caraway cookware in sage and a couple individual pieces in cream. I love being able to mix and match. Sometimes I’ll keep a pot out on the stove, for decoration. So I can switch out the colors based on what I’m feeling that day.

And for the days that I want everything tucked away in my kitchen cabinets, Caraway makes storage organizers — for the pots and pans, bakeware, and lids to keep everything tidy. More on that later.

A full non-toxic cookware set includes:

  • Fry Pan (10.5 in)
  • Sauce Pan (3 QTs)
  • Sauté Pan (4.5 QTs.)
  • Dutch Oven (6.5 QTs)
  • Pan Racks (4pc.)
  • Lid Holder + Hooks (3pc.)

And each set is available in six colors.

The full non-toxic cookware set is an investment, at $395. But they are worth the hype, imo. To find trusted and tested pots and pans that are non-toxic, cook evenly, consistently, and really last (remember I’ve had my first set for two years already), isn’t always easy. AND on top of that they are design-forward, looking good in any kitchen, and ethically manufactured.

When you get the whole set, you save $150, as opposed to buying the pieces individually. But trying out one pot or pan first to see how you like it could be a good option too. I think I’d recommend the Sauté Pan to start, if you’re just trying one piece. You can do A LOT with that one pan. I use it almost everyday.

30-day hassle free trial

Caraway also offers a 30-day hassle free return and refund policy for all of their products, if purchased from Caraway directly, as well as exchanges. So you can try them out risk free. Just keep the original packaging if you’re still in the testing phase.

Caraway Home Bakeware

Just like the Caraway pots and pans, all of the Caraway bakeware features a toxin-free ceramic surface. I have the 11 piece Caraway bakeware set, which includes:

  • Large & Medium Baking Sheets
  • Cooling Rack
  • Rectangle Pan
  • Muffin Pan
  • Circle Pan (x2)
  • Square Pan
  • Loaf Pan
  • Storage Organizer (x2)

There’s also a a smaller 5 piece set available that has just the essentials, if you don’t bake as often or don’t have the need for all 11 pieces. Each set is bundled together at a lower rate than buying all the pieces individually.

I haven’t had the bakeware set as long as the cookware, so I’m still new to those. But so far, really love the baking sheets, cooling rack, and muffin pan. Everything seems to bake evenly and clean up very, VERY easily! So far, so good. And I love the cream color. Also think it would be fun to get all different colors for the bakeware though, if you only need a few pieces. Especially for the color lovers out there.

How’s everything packaged when it arrives?

Packaging is kind of important to me, so I wanted to include this info. Caraway products come packaged snugly in recycled cardboard with zero plastic bags and 100% biodegradable cork trivets. Love the cork trivets btw. We use them all the time.

Can the pans be used in the oven as well or just stovetop?

YES! I have a baked tortellini recipe that I make pretty regularly that goes from stovetop to oven, all in one pan (I usually use the sauté pan).

The pans can handle up to 550 degrees fahrenheit in the oven.

Are the cookware and bakeware sets hard to clean?

No! They’re so easy to clean and it’s probably one of my favorite things about everything from this brand.

With a toddler running around, the last thing I want to do after cooking dinner is spend a bunch of time scrubbing pans clean. So how pots and pans cleanup is pretty important to me.

With all of the Caraway pieces I have, things can be cleaned out with little effort. Quick rinse and a little soap. And for the more stubborn stuff, I use a wool sponge or a dish brush.

How do I store / organize everything?

If you invest in the sets, either the cookware set or the bakeware set, you’ll automatically receive storage organizers that make it easy.

The cookware comes with magnetic pan racks that can be stored away in a cabinet for easy access. They also help keep your pots and pans looking fresh and new for as long as possible, when stored this way.

And the Caraway cookware set also comes with a canvas lid holder. Again, helping to keep everything tidy and in good condition. Then for the bakeware sets, each one (the 5 piece set and the 11 piece set) comes with an organizer. *11 piece set comes with two organizers.

I was able to fit both bakeware organizers in one of our deep kitchen drawers and then store the few pieces that are a bit too tall for the drawers in another section of the kitchen. Our kitchen is tight on storage, so I was pleasantly surprised that the organizers would fit in our drawers.

Tips for keeping your Caraway Pots and Pans looking new

If you want to keep your pans in tip top shape, I have a few suggestions. And there are more detailed cleaning and care instructions here But this stuff is meant to be used, so take it with a grain of salt. Just sharing if you want to keep your pieces as pristine as possible.

I fall somewhere in the middle here. I want to keep things looking good as new, but also, they’re gonna get some wear and tear. It happens.

  • Don’t use high heat. I think this is the number one rule. And one that I didn’t realize when I first got my cookware set a couple of years ago. Luckily, I have a darker color (sage) for that older set, so the burns / browning on the bottom are not as visible as what it could have been from many high heat cooks. The ceramic coating could also be affected by high heat, so low to medium heat is best with these pans. This is really just from an aesthetic point of view. Usability / functionality isn’t affected at all by high heat use, in my experience.
  • When possible, use liquid oils (like olive oil) and butters over spray oils. Spray oils can leave a residue that makes the surface harder to clean.
  • To help maintain the colorful exterior, try not to stack your cookware, unless you use a duster bag first. Duster bags come with the single pots and pans. And the organizers come with the full sets.
  • Don’t put these pots or pans in the dishwasher.
  • Use wooden utensils or silicone ones for cooking, instead of anything metal.
  • Try not to drag your cookware across the stove top.
