Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have welcomed their second child together via surrogate, People reports. A representative for Kardashian confirmed the child’s birth, saying the baby was a boy, but the former couple has not yet settled on a name. They currently share a 4-year-old daughter, True Thompson. News of the baby was broken last month.
“We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November,” a rep said at the time. “Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.”
In the premiere episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ final season, Kardashian said that she was told by her doctors that if she became pregnant again it would be “high risk” for her.
“I’m not gonna get into specifics on-camera,” she said. “But they said it’s like an 80-something percent chance that I will miscarry. I almost miscarried with True at the beginning. But I didn’t know that was like a lingering thing.”
She added, “This is all really shocking to me. All I’m trying to do is bring more love into my life and into my family, and I just seem to be running into more and more roadblocks. It’s really hard for me to digest.”
Kardashian and Thompson had a tumultuous relationship, breaking up and getting back together a few times. Late last year it was revealed that Thompson had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols while he and Kardashian were still together, which Kardashian discovered when Nichols launched a lawsuit against Thompson for child support. He publicly apologized to Kardashian for his transgression. Their second baby had already been conceived via surrogate when the news came out.
