A source close to Kourtney Kardashian opened up to E! yesterday about how the reality star and her husband Travis Barker are doing one day after Barker was hospitalized for pancreatitis. Barker is expected to recover, the source detailed, but the experience has been harrowing for the couple.

“He was in extreme pain yesterday, and he and Kourtney were both really worried,” the source said. “It was to the point where he could barely walk.”

Barker’s condition improved after spending the night in the hospital. He is expected to “be okay and is doing better today,” the source said yesterday. Kardashian herself has been trying to bring positive energy to her partner. “Kourtney is trying to lift his spirits and hates seeing him in excruciating pain,” the source said.

Neither Kardashian nor Barker have made any public statements since he was hospitalized on Tuesday. The Kardashian-Jenner family hasn’t either. When news broke of Barker’s hospitalization, his 16-year-old daughter Alabama Barker posted on her Instagram Story, asking her followers to “please send your prayers 🥺”

TMZ broke the news, revealing Barker was hospitalized on Tuesday morning. He originally checked into West Hills hospital, but the medical team there felt his condition was serious enough that he needed additional care, so he was moved by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Multiple sources told the outlet that Barker has pancreatitis, and doctors believe it was triggered by a recent colonoscopy. Symptoms of his having an inflamed pancreas, the outlet added, include, “nausea, intense stomach pain and vomiting.”
