They say three makes a trend, but according to my questionable math, two A-listers are pretty much equivalent to (if not even more powerful than) three of anything else. So when both Selena Gomez and Zendaya say “I want an Old Hollywood bob”—and both show up on the same night with exactly that—you can be sure Old Hollywood bobs will be having a moment in 2025.
The Golden Globes may be one of the biggest parties in Hollywood, but it’s just as fun for hair obsessives because some of the best looks of the season hit the award show’s red carpet. (I mean, hello, did you see Emma Stone’s new pixie cut?) And for those who love timeless beauty, two of today’s biggest stars didn’t disappoint with their takes on yesterday’s hairstyles.
Zendaya, who’s nominated for her performance in Challengers, walked the Golden Globes red carpet in a strapless, copper Louis Vuitton gown that complemented the reddish highlights in her hair, which hits right at the jawline.
After stylist Coree Moreno used Nexxus Epic Shine Anti Humidity Spray and Volume Medium Hold Mousse on Zendaya’s damp hair, “I finished up the foundation steps with an old school roller set for mega volume before drying the hair under a hooded dryer until 90 percent dry,” he says. “Once hard rollers were removed, we kept the hair pin curled for an ultra set curl using the GHD Helios Professional Hair Dryer with Professional Diffuser on the coldest temperature to lock in that shine.”
Next, Moreno smoothed away roller dents with the GHD Curve Classic Curl Iron, which he also used to curl Bellami Hair’s Silk Seam Clip-In Extensions in a mixture of chestnut and chocolate brown Chestnut Brown and Chocolate Brown to add fullness.
