Heavenly Father, please protect the heart of my grandchild and shield them from the arrows of the enemy. As they grow, please keep their heart softened toward You and others. Help them follow Proverbs 4:23, which says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Lord, please be at the center of their heart, keeping them fastened in Your love and grace. Thank You, Father, for calling them by name, drawing them near, and protecting them always. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.

2. A Prayer for Their Mind

Gracious God, please protect the mind of my grandchild, filtering out the lies and distractions of the enemy. Replace negative thoughts with thoughts of love, hope, and joy. Help them remember Bible verses that offer comfort in times of sadness. And bring to mind the fruit of Your Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Please give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, fixing their minds on heavenly things. In Jesus’ precious name, amen.
